The agreement, in plain words.

Pastoral Office is software your church uses over the internet. You get an account for your church, you invite your team, and you use the products you have turned on. You are responsible for who you invite and what they can do once invited.

You must be authorised to act for your church, and everyone using the account must be old enough to hold one under your local law.

Each product is subscribed to on its own, on a shared ladder, and you only pay for the ones you have moved off the free tier. People is free forever, with no limit on how many people are in it. Every other product has a free tier as well.

Subscriptions are monthly and are charged in advance. You can move a product up or down at any time. Prices are per product, never per staff account, and never based on how large your congregation is.

Card processing and Mobile Money fees are charged by the payment provider at their own rate. We do not add anything on top of them. SMS and WhatsApp messages are pay as you go at the carrier rate. See pricing.

Nothing breaks and nothing is deleted. Everything already in your account keeps working and your congregation notices nothing. Once a product is at capacity it simply will not take on new usage until you upgrade or make room. We will not hold your records hostage to get you to upgrade.

Your records belong to your church, not to us. You can export them at any time, and if you leave you take them with you. How we handle them is set out in our privacy page.

You are responsible for having the right to hold the information you put in, and for telling your members what you hold about them.

Do not use Pastoral Office to break the law, to send messages people have not agreed to receive, to attack or probe the service, or to resell it as your own. If an account is being used to harm people we may suspend it, and we will tell you why.

We work to keep the service available, backed up and secure, and to fix what breaks. We cannot promise it will never be unavailable: it runs on hardware and networks, and those fail.

The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to what you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

You can cancel a product, or the whole account, at any time. There are no cancellation fees and no minimum term. Cancelling stops the next charge; it does not refund the month you are in.

Export your data before you close an account. After closure we remove it on our normal schedule and it will not be recoverable once backups have aged out.
